Mobile money service, M-Pesa, is now owned by Vodacom and Safaricom

M-Pesa has dominated Africa’s mobile money space for a long time under the control of the UK’s Vodafone. Safaricom and Vodacom will be hoping to take the service to new heights after acquiring it from Vodafone.
